iPhone 5 Will Launch in Summer with 4-inch screen

Over the years - well, starting in 2007, Apple released the new iPhone during the summer. Later, the company bucked the trend that with the October release of the iPhone 4S. The question of whether Apple will stick with the schedule of new releases or re-schedule long been the subject of furious speculation.

The annual CES in Las Vegas is a show and tell of sorts for the largest companies in the technology world. Here is a look at the scene and some of the coolest gadgets unveiled at the show.

As a prototype, the blog reported that the phone all have 4-inch screen or larger, that they are slightly longer and wider than the current iPhone and has a different form factor of the iPhone 4 and 4S.

In a recent earnings call Apple, Tim Cook as usual teasing that Apple has some "extraordinary" products originating in the pipeline, but said he was influenced by the 4G competitors and larger-screened phones. Repeating that Apple has just announced sales of 37 million iPhones, he said that it appeared that the customer is happy with the phone.
