Microsoft with new Bing, the first to get ‘social search’ right?


"90 percent of people consult a friend or an expert before making a decision," Microsoft said in promotional material for the new Bing, announced Thursday, and held over the next few weeks. Golf sounds like a plan Google for Search Plus Your World, the peppers with your search results pages of Google+ content, social networking companies. Microsoft has done some things differently: it includes social data from Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Blogger, and soon, LinkedIn, Quora, and Foursquare. The idea is that social outcomes will be inherently more relevant than Google simply by including more social networks, and in a way that does not interfere. Source
