Android 4.2 Camera and Gallery Now Available to Download

We all know, that's just a matter of time before some software of Android 4.2 will appear on other devices. A little glimpse of the Android OS 4.2. After seeing the new AOSP keyboard makes its way to the older phones, people have been anxiously awaiting some other binary items that will come pre-installed on the upcoming Nexus device.

If you are one of the people hoping for a taste of Google’s newest desert, this will undoubtedly be a treat. Hidden among 4.2′s huge list of features are some exciting changes to the gallery and camera apps. Perhaps most intriguing of these is the ‘Photosphere’ camera mode, which lets users take highly detailed and accurately composted panoramic or 360 degree pictures that can then be shared and viewed just about anywhere. The images are JPEGs with XML metadata, which can easily be embedded, emailed, even posted to Google+. Some users here at XDA have reported the camera to work fine on their devices, while others have had to make build.prop edits. Others yet have stated that your device must have a gyroscope. Before trying anything at all, it should be mentioned that flashing these files or modifying system files could go wrong, so be safe and make a full backup of your device first.

To get Sphere working on non-Nexus devices you might need to edit your build.prop file. MAKE A NANDROID FIRST!!
